Clinton Boisvert's art project consisted of painting the word "fear" on the side of boxes and scattered them around a busy New York City subway station.
The station was clear for six hours while the bomb squad carefully determined that the boxes were harmless, according to AP reports.
Boisvert was charged with reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct. (Apparently there is not a law specifically against scaring the shit out of people.)
