Ron Howard's directorial debut was the 1977 film "Grand Theft Auto". This was the sequel to the 1976 picture "Eat My Dust". Both films starred Ron Howard, and were produced by B-movie giant Roger Corman.
Ron Howard later went on to direct such popular films as "Night Shift", "Splash", "Cocoon", "Parenthood", "Backdraft", "Far and Away", "Apollo 13", "Ed TV", and "How the Grinch Stole Christmas". His latest project was the Oscar winning Russell Crowe film "A Beautiful Mind".
