Prayer of St. Chad
"Almighty God, ... Keep us we pray, from thinking of ourselves more highly
than we ought to think, and ready at all times to step aside for others."

(St. Chad (620-672 AD) was appointed Bishop of York when the previous bishop
was too long in returning from a trip to France. When the previous bishop
finally returned, St. Chad was asked to step down. He did.)
