As we watched the horrific events unfold on Tuesday, September 11, my
friends and I needed to find some solace in the tragedy, something to
make it seem as though thousands of people had not died for nothing.
"Well, I guess we know who the happiest man in the world is today," my
friend finally remarked.
"Bin Laden?" I asked, wondering who could possibly look on this
destruction with gladness.
"Nope," he replied. "Gary Condit."
