New Mexico to decide if "idiots" can vote.

The current New Mexico state constitution prohibits voting by the following: "idiots", "insane persons", and those "convicted of a felonious or infamous crime"
On the ballot this year is Amendment 2, which would change the state constitution, striking the words "idiots" and "insane persons", according to a recent report from Reuters.
Presumably, this would allow idiots and insane persons to vote in New Mexico. (Seems only fair since there is not a similar prohibition barring idiots and insane persons from running from office.)
And you thought the voting situation was bad in Florida...
