-- Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran, calling for a police crackdown of all immoral behaviour, including any physical contact of any kind between unrelated men and women. (This was triggered by a kiss on the forehead during an award presentation at a film awards show, a sort of Iranian version of the Oscars.)

The crackdown has begun - Reuters reports that 120 Iranians were arrested in Tehran. The charges? Dancing, and mingling with people of the opposite sex.
