PETA objects to 'Cow Patty Bingo'

CONNELLSVILLE, Pa. — A Connellsville Area High School fundraiser will go on despite objections from an animal rights group. For $10, players can claim one of 3,025 squares marked off in the front lawn of the high school in Fayette County. At noon on April 6, a cow will be led onto the lawn, and the square with the most "pie" will win $10,000. People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals is opposed to any event that uses animals as a form of entertainment. Principal Robert McLuckey said there's enough support to continue with the event. "People have already bought tickets for it," he said. "We have had a positive response to it overall."

PETA says we can't use animals for entertainment.  Hell, that's why we have pets, for entertainment!  So if we listen to PETA's maniacle absolutists statements then we must set our pets free.  Let them out of the fenced in yards--let them run into the streets and get hit by cars. Now that's humane!

We would have to stop driving as well, lest we impinge on the animals' right to run freely in the streets.

Let´s not forget that the cow has a choice in the matter.  It was not threatened in any way.  If it wanted to, it could have simply waited until everybody left.  PETA needs to get a life.  There position in this is even more ridiculous than my response.  I may be wrong, but I personally believe that there are much bigger fish to fry (oops sorry PETA) than this!!!!
