Personally, I find it amazing that J.R.R. Tolkien could have been both so incredibly insensitive and so incredibly prescient when he chose the name "The Two Towers" for his book -- back in 1954!

By the way, after 9/11 director Peter Jackson briefly considered changing the name, but ultimately decided against it, saying "Tolkien fans would kill us."
(He's probably right.)
