A Norwiegan man found out ahead of time that his friends were planning a surprise party for his 40th birthday. According to Reuters, he planned to turn the tables on them by hiding in the trees with a shotgun. When they approached he would fire a round in the air. Unfortunately, as he emerged from his hiding place he tripped and fell, accidentally firing his shotgun in the process. Six of his friends were taken to the hospital after being injured by the blast.
