According to a new poll by Ipsos-Reid, 30% of Americans think of Canada as just another state.
"Seven in ten Americans say that they see their northern neighbors as a separate country, much like Britain or Japan," the pollsters said. "However, 30 percent see Canada as more like just another state, such as Michigan or Oregon."
