Researchers at Plymouth University (England) are studying whether or not there is any truth to the old saying that an infinite number of monkeys sitting at an infinte number of typewriters will eventually produce the complete works of Shakespeare, according to an AP report. Not having an infinite number of monkeys or typewriters, they are trying to get by with just six monkeys and six computers. They've produced five pages so far, but no works of Shakespeare have emerged, complete or otherwise. The monkeys seem as likely to go to the bathroom on the keyboard as type on it. But here's the weird part - when they do type, they mostly type only the letter "S".
