On March 27, Mohammed Al-Douri, Iraq ambassador to the UN, addressed the UN Security Council, saying among other things...
"The Council had been fooled when it was told by the United States and the United Kingdom that the Iraqi people would receive their forces with flowers and hugs."
On April 9, US Marines entering downtown Baghdad were greeted by local citizens with, among other things, flowers and hugs.
