US Marines had trouble pulling down a statue of Saddam Hussein in Baghdad, similar to the one that came down Wednesday as the entire world watched on TV. According to Reuters, this one was a little tougher, so the Marines decided to use explosives to blow it up instead. After the explosion the statue was still standing, although it was left with "a gaping hole in its groin".
