AFP reports today that photographer Brian Walski was fired by the LA Times for digitally altering a photograph of a British soldier directing Iraqi civilians to take cover. It seems the editors became suspicious when they noticed that several of the Iraqi civilians appeared twice in the photo. Unfortunately, they did not notice before press time, and the altered photo ran on the front page of the March 31st edition.
