Recently we reported that in David Wells autobiography he claimed he was "half-drunk" when he pitched a perfect game for the NY Yankees in 1998. According to the AP, he now claims that wasn't true. Says Wells, "I wasn't drunk the day I pitched the perfect game. I went out the night before. I took some aspirin and had a headache the next day." (Yeah, okay... a "headache". Gotcha.)

Follow-up - David Wells was fined $100,000 by the Yankees for the comments in his book.
