Japan stopped commercial whaling back in 1986, now they only engage in whale research. Five ships from the Institute of Cetacean Research just returned with a load of over 400 minke whales. The Institute then had an open house of sorts, to correspond with the Nagasaki whale festival. Their research seemed to involve which whale recipes were the most popular with the crowd, and how many people would by whale meat to take home for later. Results of all this research? Whales is tasty!
