You just can't be nice to some people...

You just can't be nice to some people, among them:  Wanita Renea Young of Durango, Colorado.  Her neighbors, two teenage girls made cookies for her, leaving the cooking on her doorstep after knocking and no one answered.  How did Wanita respond to this random act of kindness?  She sued them for "distress", claiming the unsolicited cookies caused her an anxiety attack.  The really sad part is that the girst lost and were ordered to pay Wanita $900.  All I want to know is:  What kind of sick freak has an anxiety attack when someone gives them cookies?

I'm a retired trial lawyer, and I can tell you guys that the
courts--local, state and federal--are just absolutely Clogged
with these "lawsuits", not just frivolous personal injury
lawsuits(which insurance companies are trying to destroy).
There is no Constitutional right NOT to be "offended". Free
speech Demands that we "offend" jerks.  But this crowd has
Billion Dollar foundations (yes,"B"), which provide lawyers,
court expenses, when they are "offended" or "affected" by the
language or actions of even well-meaning people or groups.  AND,
when these lawyers Win against defenseless (they can't afford
attorneys fees and costs to defend them against deed restiction
"violations", etc.) people, these attorneys are allowed, in
addition to their recoveries, their own attorney's fees, costs,
etc.etc. What can we do?
DO AWAY WITH STATUTORY ATTORNEY'S FEES.  This will put
plaintiffs in the same position as defendants, and lawsuits will
diminish with time, believe me.... except for the political
foundations which have deep and bottomless pockets.
By the way, I'm Old, Fat, Crippled (presently in a
wheelchair which I paid for), a Boy, and Mentally and Physically
crippled (Depression; taking working meds), American, white (last
time I looked), and DO NOT believe in "politically correct"
language, as that restricts my right to free speech and "frames"
any debate, comments or discussion before they are spoken or
written.
SO, you doeznt hav to call me "senior" or mentally or
physically "challenged", or "white", or whatever.
YOU can calls me: MR. AMERICA.

oyez oyez.get rid of advertising also. under carter(great man.terrible president) the ftc was ordered to mandate adversising for all profession against long standing rules by national, state and local bar associations that advertising would create litigation.guess what.now lawyers advertise symptoms.if you have an ache, pain, cough, sniffles, you  can sue for damages due to cancer, asbestos, polution, from meanie companies that will pay thru the nose, but passing on the costs to us the consumers.what we need to do is.
