This Holiday Season - Zoroastrianism In, Festivus Out

The First Baptist Church of Bartow, Florida, set up a Nativity scene on county land this year.  The Polk County Commission said it would not be a problem, provided the land is open to anyone else wishing to set up any other type of display.  The public land would become a sort of "public forum".  Their only requirement was that someone claim the display and request in writing that it be allowed to remain.

The Zoroastrianism display has already been claimed, and will remain.  Unfortunately, no one has claimed the Festivus display, a single sign reading "Festivus, for the rest of us", so it will likely be taken down.

Zoroaster probably saw this coming back in Persia... Baal-pteor was never someone to get the (zara)thrust(a) of the matter.;(
