Artist Jason Kronewald makes sculptures of celebrities out of used bubble gum. Says Kronewald, "I couldn't think of a better way to represent somebody like Britney Spears than with chewed bubble gum."

great idea. bubble gum must have a half-life of 1.2 million years. britney only has a half-life.

I also collect used chewing gum. One year I entered a large pile of it in an arts and crafts fair with a clay hand coming out it, like someone trapped in The Blob. They showed it on television, but apparently the community judges felt that photographs of sunsets and kittens were more the type of art that deserved a prize. 15 years later, I can't blame them, but my gum collection has exploded in growth. It grows sort of like a tree- the wetter years yield more girth, the dryer years less girth, and they give various molds the chance to grow on the outside.
