I was just watching the "100 Greatest TV Quotes and Catchphrases" on TVLand. They got to the part about Welcome Back Kotter, a show with possibly the most inane catchphrases ever created for the television viewing public.
As I'm watching clips from the show, I'm struck by how truly stupid television was back in the 70's, and how I can't believe we actually watched anything like that, and how if nothing else TV had at least improved greatly over the passing decades.
Then they moved on to the next set of clips... from Beavis & Butthead.
