I'm going to say that a manbottle is a designed structure (sometimes hand carved) made to hold or display a bottle (generally a wine bottle).

Nice idea, but no.
(I'm guessing what you described should be called a bottleman.)

A manbottle is an object or concept that like a large bottle can captivate a man's interest (or woman's, though they are less susceptible) for a few minutes and then he loses interest, like water out of a bottle.

a manbottle is a lamp used a long time ago, they were usually lit by men on stilts because they were high up, like todays modern street lamps

Does it somehow relate to a truly tasteless ketchup bottle?

Umm... Maybe you were inspired by the H. P. Lovecraft short story about three thieves who planned to rob a mysterious old man who spoke to bottles, which contained the souls of men? (I would have researched this but the forces of evil seem to have removed all Lovecraft texts from the internet. I hope I am wrong... the internet seems to be going over to the darkside.)

Is it a receptacle of sufficient volume and content to be considered 'manly'? Some bottled drinks (such as Bacardi breezers) are evidently more feminine drinks whereas a litre of Johnnie Walker is more masculine. A 'manbottle' perchance?

Did you really want to send it all the way to China anyway? Sorry to steal the fun away anonymously. Will register next time.

I assume so, but it would have been ill advised of me to buy a DVD of high quality as it takes longer to be delivered than crap ones (if at all). The customs officials like to watch and/or rip-off the good ones.

General rule of thumb-If it is of value and comes into the country, it gets ripped off. Other than that, most things function as normal (except Wikipedia, Google occasionally and the BBC news and sports websites, although they allow access to the weather station...not too sure why.)
